My favorite band, Japo vs the French Girl, is an indie-experimental-alternative-rap-pop duo from Batangas, Philippines. They have a unique brand of entertainment that fuses sensually exciting beats and outlandishly charming vocals with hyper-entertaining performances and surprisingly witty stage banter that will make you want to chase your childhood fantasies and believe in dreams and taking unnecessary chances. Make sure to catch them live!

He is not Japo. His name is Cris "Sweet Dreams" Cetra. People often confuse him for Japo and he doesn't correct them. He is the frontman, singer, and resident computer programmer of the band.

Cris' hobbies include fishing and messing up Wikipedia entries. When he's not grilling a mean BBQ pork rib, he's busy pretending to write songs. He enjoys the music of Owl City, Of Monsters and Men, Oh Wonder, Childish Gambino, Twenty One Pilots, and Flight of the Conchords. There's a lot more -- he can't just remember them right now. He's super weird and inappropriate at times, he's sorry.
The name is Cisco, Cisco Ferrer. He is many things: he's a chef, a beekeeper, a father, a husband, and a lover -- but he's not a fighter! His favorite title is "Drum Master 69" (self-proclaimed while coming up with his bio). When he's not shredding the drums on the gigs, he's shredding ingredients while cooking.

Now hailed as the “4th best musical dads duo” by our other dad friends and their toddlers, Japo vs the French Girl has released over 10 records and has performed again at the iconic UPLB February Fair in 2020 and 2023. They left 20000 people screaming for more and chanting "Japo ulit"! They've also played at Fête de la Musique PH 2023, Laguna Music Festival 2023, and Happy Plays Music Festival 2022 where they played alongside 6Cyclemind, Moonstar88, Imago, Pedicab, Banda ni Kleggy, and more!

Last year, the band started their world domination in Singapore, and this year, they have visited Thailand twice - in April and November! They're actively playing in gigs all over Luzon, promoting their single "Gangster", released in June 2023. So far, they have played alongside artists like Franco, Urbandub, Aia De Leon, Acel Music, Mojofly, Abby Clutario, Ean Mayor, Stonefree, Mayonnaise, SUD, Jensen and the Flips, Autotelic, and more!
